Fake Blog

I am getting a lot of questions about this, so I'll clear it up here. There is a blog out there that claims to be Chris' secret blog - it's fake. I read through the posts and it seems fairly harmless, but it cracks me up that people are commenting to Chris on it! The only real Sligh blog is here. Comment away!

And check out the forums at chrissligh.com.

Thanks for making it clear that the Secret Blog of Chris Sligh (www.chris-sligh.com) is not really written by Chris. That would be against the rules. Although the blogger tries to help fans understand he is not Chris, the fans remain in a fantasy world. Chris is aware of the blog and enjoys it. It says things and has fun in ways that he can't.

Chris,
I wish it were harmless, but I don't believe that it is. I believe it's really hurting Chris's Christian testimony, due to some of the less-than-kind things that have been said there. It's also hurting his image, particularly at sites such as TWOP, where people believe that Chris is that full of himself. They attribute those quotes to the real Chris, who is becoming more and more disliked due to his supposed "ego." I'm seeing former fans turning against him because of things said at that blog, and it bothers me.

I read all of Chris's original blogs, and this fake blog is not nearly as well written as Chris's, nor is it as funny.

AI is a powerful machine. If Chris were to ask them to have the fake blog shut down, I think they could do it. As it stands, I hate to see his Christian testimony and his general reputation as a smart/funny guy (who can really write!) be ruined. The Internet is a nasty place, and the tide is turning against Chris.

I think the Secret Blog is GREAT. It is not only harmless--it captures the spirit of Chris, and I know he actually has seen it and likes it.

You did a great interview with local media on Chris. The heart of your message seemed to be that all Chris needs to do is to be himself. Would you agree that being himself has been a struggle, as it would be with anyone in this competition?

By the way, we posted your interview on Chris' "Secret Blog."

I guess Chris' family and official fan sites endorse and love the Secret Blog.
